Don't be afraid to speak up! This session is all about YOU! If you would like a change in pressure, temperature, music, areas we are working on or anything else let your therapist know! The goal for this session is to have you as comfortable as possible and open communication is a great way to make this happen!

What can I expect during my first massage?
Before getting on the massage table, please have your intake form filled out so we can go over health history and what kind of massage will best suit you! Your massage will be customized to your unique needs.
Do I have to compleatly undress for my massage?
Each client is asked to undress to their level of comfort. You may remove all clothing or remain fully clothed and anything in between is perfectly acceptable! Please note that at all times you will be appropriately draped so no intimate areas will be exposed. If you choose to remain clothed, it is best to wear athletic attire.
Will the massage hurt or be painful?
Pain tolerance and pressure preferences vary from person to person. What one person finds as comfortable pressure, another may find too intense or too light. It's crucial to communicate your preferences with your massage therapist. They can adjust the pressure to ensure your comfort and satisfaction during the session.
When should I not get a massage?
There are a few conditions that massage is contraindicated for. If you have any health issues it is best to research if massage is best for you before booking you appointment. Massage is unsafe if you're sick, intoxicated, have infectious skin conditions, and untreated cardiovascular disease.
If you have any questions or concerns if massage is safe for you, I am happy to discuss the right technique for you, local contraindications and if massage should be avoided.
Can I get a massage during my first trimester of pregnancy?
During a normal pregnancy and with the right techniques and equipment, massage can be implemented in all stages of pregnancy and has many wonderful benefits. I have invested in additional training to best suit your prenatal needs! If you have any concerns consult with your health care provider.
Should I talk during my massage?
Whether or not you should talk during your massage largely depends on your personal preferences and comfort level. Massage therapy is a time for relaxation and self-care, and it's important to create an environment that allows you to fully enjoy the experience.
Do I tip my massage therapist?
Tipping is completely optional but is always appreciated. Many people tip around 15% to 20% of the base massage price. You can adjust this percentage based on your level of satisfaction.
How often can I get massage?
In general, many people opt for monthly massages for maintenance and relaxation. However, for specific issues or goals, the frequency may vary. Always communicate with your massage therapist about your objectives, preferences, and any changes in your health or well-being so they can adjust their recommendations accordingly. Ultimately, the ideal frequency of massage sessions will depend on your unique circumstances.
